This is the initial and recommended maximum tension used for tuning & heavy air sailing. After making adjustments to other shrouds re-check the tension and adjust the rig adjuster if needed. In lighter air the rig adjuster is eased off allowing a more full sail. When the rig adjuster is eased the pre-bend is reduced and the diagonals go slack.
